The National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Obiora Ifoh has stated that the party has become a beautiful bride ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Sun reported that Obiora Ifoh, who is known for his outspokenness stated this in an exclusive interview.
Recall that in 2023, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi was defeated by the former Governor of Lagos state and presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Obiora Ifoh said; "I can tell you that there are no crises in the Labour Party, this is the handiwork of those who have journeyed many political parties seeking fortune. But like other political parties, we have just family issues"
He added; Labour Party (LP) has become a beautiful bride and that is why everyone wants to marry her. And do not forget that only a ripened orange tree attracts stones from the public. In 2019, no one knew the Labour Party and no one hesitated to fight over leadership but immediately after the 2023 election many realized that such a party existed"
Also during the interview, the National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, LP, Obiora Ifoh denied that there was never a High Court judgement in Abuja by Justice Gabriel Kolawole stopping the national chairman of the Labour Party, Barrister Julius Abure from conducting party congresses and National conventions.
