Senator Ireti Kingibe has emphasizes her continuous and genuine presence in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) by pointing out that she has resided in the same house since 1991 and has owned the land since then.

She firmly believes that there is no need for any federal land allocation to her in the FCT as she already owns property there. Kingibe advocates for equal distribution of land, asserting that if everyone took their fair share, there would be enough for all.

By describing the historical landscape of the FCT as mainly forest and bush with just two houses on summer streets, Kingibe highlights her strong ties and dedication to the region.

According to The Sun, Ireti Kingibe said, "There is no Minister who will come to you. I live in a house that I have lived in. I have owned the land since 1991. If you see any other federal allocation of land, for me in the FCT come, call me out on it. I’m a firm believer that if everybody took their one or two pieces of land, that will be enough for everybody. I have lived in the FCT since when FCT was just all forest and bush, when there were only two houses on summer streets."
