Arsenal favourites to sign Olise

Arsenal have been handed a boost over Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign Michael Olise this summer, according to journalist David Ornstein. The Gunners are on the search for a new winger and Olise has recently emerged as one of the top names on their summer shortlist. The Crystal Palace winger has also been linked with United and Chelsea, but Arsenal could have an edge after David Ornstein’s update. In a Q&A session on The Athletic , Ornstein revealed that Olise would only leave Palace for ‘one of the small number of most prominent Champions League clubs’. The Gunners are in the driving seat for Champions League qualification and another seven points could be enough to finish in the top four due to their superior goal difference. On the contrary, United and Chelsea are 13 and 16 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa respectively. They have one and two games in hand, but Villa need just six more points to cement their spot.

Roma won't pursue deal to sign Lukaku

Roma are not expected to pursue a permanent transfer for Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku this year, a report has revealed. After a tumultuous summer which saw Lukaku burn bridges with both Inter and Juventus, the Belgian joined Roma on a 12-month loan which does not include the option for a permanent transfer. With 18 goals in 41 games across all competitions, Lukaku has enjoyed a solid campaing but La Gazzetta dello Sport state that he will be sent back to Chelsea over concerns about his price tag. Chelsea have an agreement with Lukaku's entourage to sell him for £37m this summer, but Roma do not want to pay so much for a player whose immense wage demands will likely double the cost of any permanent deal.

Chelsea expecting summer bids for Levi Colwill

Chelsea are bracing for bids for Levi Colwill in the summer as their financial situation could probably force them into selling the defender. According to Give Me Sport, Chelsea are fully expecting critical bids for Levi Colwill to arrive in the summer. The Blues have financial obligations that could see them sell several of their critical stars, including the Englishman, a target for Liverpool.

Brian Brobbey opens door to Man United move

Ajax striker Brian Brobbey, who previously worked under Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag, has opened the door to joining the Red Devils in the future, according to Sportmole. Ajax are well-placed to demand a significant fee for the 22-year-old, whose contract runs for another three seasons, but his recent comments in an interview with the Dutch edition of Men's Health magazine may put Man United on red alert. When asked about any foreign teams he wished to represent, Brobbey name-checked the Red Devils along with two other European giants, saying: "Real Madrid is a great club, but so are Arsenal and Manchester United." Brobbey's comments come in spite of his previous rejection of Man United, who tried and failed to bring him to the Theatre of Dreams in the summer of 2022 when Ten Hag had just been appointed first-team manager.
