Lawyer and human rights activist, Dele Farotimi has reacted after an X user pointed out the difference between the Obidient and #RevolutionNow movements.

In the post that he X user shared on his official page on Wednesday, he said one group desires a significant transformation similar to that of Kenya while the other prefers a manageable change led by the election of a prominent and ethical politician.

Here is what he wrote on his page;

"There are two groups; #RevolutionNow and Obidient with distinct candidate preferences. One group desires a significant transformation similar to that of Kenya while the other prefers a manageable change led by the election of a prominent and ethical politician. However, such an individual does not exist within Nigeria's notorious political parties except in the African Action Congress (AAC). The Obidient group requires a presidential candidate to represent and lead them but this approach perpetuates conventional political practices. On the other hand, the AAC requires a #RevolutionNow candidate capable of eventually putting an end to legacy politics. It is essential to establish a clear and unifying objective for both groups to work together".

Reacting to the statement, Dele Farotimi said since the people have evidently preferred to coalesce in the Obidient Movement, what effort has the #RevolutionNow movement made to foster unity.

Here is what Dele Farotimi wrote on his official page;

"The truth remains somewhere in the midst of this rather fallacious argument. Since the people have evidently preferred to coalesce in the Obidient Movement, what ideas have the RevolutionNow crew advanced to foster unity and to find common ground? How have you sought cooperation?".
