Former Federal Lawmaker Shehu Sani has vowed to directly confront FCT Minister Nyesom Wike in future interactions and defend his legislative record against Wike's claims.

Sani pointed out that he and Wike are the same age, adding a personal touch to their political rivalry. He reminisced about his time as a political prisoner in Port Harcourt, questioning Wike's whereabouts during that challenging period.

In an interview with Channels TV, he stated, "At a certain time, I was in Port Harcourt prison serving a prison term as a political prisoner. And where was he (Wike) at that very time. But I think what he (Wike) said has been blown out of proportion. What he said is that there are gains in Democracy and it's not only about condemnation and criticisms."
Sani continued, "And in my own case, he said what is it that we have done in the Senate. He wasn't speaking to me; he was talking in general terms. But I believe that next time we go to an event, we will all go for it together. He will certainly get a reply in our next event; you know I take no prisoners. It's later that I learned that we are even age mates."
