Chief George Moghalu, the former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the immediate past Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), highlighted his vital role and enduring dedication to the APC. He emphasized his foundational involvement with the party, having played a key part in its inception by contributing to the crafting of its constitution, organizing meetings, choosing its name, and overseeing its registration.

Moghalu proudly affirmed his official membership in the APC, noting his possession of a party card and his extensive network of relationships throughout the party's hierarchy. He asserted that his significant contributions to the APC have been consistent and significant, a fact he believes even his detractors cannot deny.

In an interview with The Sun, Moghalu said, "I am a full-fledged member of the APC. I am a card-carrying member of the party. I have personal relationships across board that I build over the years. Nobody, not even my enemy, can dispute the fact that I have always been a key player in APC right from the formation. I didn’t join the APC, I was among the group that sat down, drafted the constitution, had meetings, gave it a name, and registered it."
