The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu has taken to his official social media platform on X (formerly twitter) to release a statement on the Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day of Israel.
The Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day is a national day of commemoration in Israel. It is a day dedicated to the memory of the six million Jews killed by Nazis and to the Heroism of the Jewish resistance in the Holocaust. In a statement released via his X platform, PM Benjamin Netanyahu stated thus;
"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara met today with the Holocaust survivors who will serve as the torch lighters at the opening ceremony for Holocaust Martyrs' and Heroes' Remembrance Day at Yad Vashem in Jerusalem.
PM Netanyahu: "If we need to stand alone – we will stand alone. If it is possible to recruit the nations of the world – much better. But if we do not defend ourselves – nobody will defend us.
The strength at our disposal is the strength that I have heard here, we have no other."
The Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu stated that if Israel do not defend itself, nobody will defend Israel and concluded with this words;
"the strength at our disposal is the strength that I have heard here, we have no other."
