Newcastle have initiated talks to acquire Arsenal prodigy Amario Cozier-Duberry, as confirmed by renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 18-year-old inked his professional contract with Arsenal's first team back in 2022, wasting no time in showcasing his potential by netting his debut goal within months. Despite limited opportunities, featuring mainly as a substitute for Arsenal's U-18 squad, Cozier-Duberry has attracted attention from Newcastle United, among other European clubs.

While Arsenal remains hopeful of retaining the winger's services, discussions are ongoing. The young talent has earned praise from Jack Wilshere, his coach at Arsenal U-18, who lauds his unpredictability and compares him to the Gunners' senior star forward, Bukayo Saka.

Although talks persist, no decision has been reached by Cozier-Duberry, who has spent five years in Arsenal's academy. Should he opt for a move, Arsenal stands to receive a training compensation fee.

Standing at 1.70 meters, the winger boasts a transfer valuation of £2 million and enjoys the confidence of Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. His impressive record of 7 goals and 5 assists in the Premier League 2 division underscores his potential, with his strike against Newcastle even garnering a nomination for April's goal of the month accolade.
