On 25th June, 2024 the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Comrade Julius Abure while speaking at the meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party at the party secretariat in Abuja, revealed that they were focused on the upcoming 2027 General Election, that was why they were the only political party that had produced their Presidential Candidate in the upcoming 2027 Presidential Election and they would definitely get to their destination of giving the good citizens of Nigeria a better nation.
According to Premium Times, the National Chairman of the Labour Party (LP), Comrade Julius Abure said "Labour Party is happy with your reconciliation project and we will give you all the support. We are not the aggressor here; we have always wanted peace because we can’t go into future elections with divided loyalty. We have said that we are focused on 2027, that is why we are the only party that has produced its candidate for the 2027 presidential election. We know where we are going and we have refused to be distracted. We will definitely get to our destination of giving Nigerians a better nation.”
On the other hand, the Presidential Candidate from the Labour Party (LP) of the just concluded General Election, Peter Obi said that the reconciliation between the National Chairman of the LP, Comrade Julius Abure, and the former leaders of the party, led by the former Deputy National Chairman of LP, Lamidi Apapa was all about their party and he could assured them that everyone must reconcile with each other.
