In a recent video, Alhaji Buhari (Shamaki), the Zamfara Emir's servant, begged the king to step in and secure their freedom.
Daily Trust reported last week that three individuals were killed and other town residents were kidnapped when bandits stormed the palace of Alhaji Bello Muhammad Bunu, the Emir of Zurmi.
Locals in the town reported that the bandits, who entered the town on Wednesday about 10 p.m., also targeted Rtd. Colonel Bala Muhammad Mande's house, the former Military Administrator of Nasarawa State.
However, the security personnel quickly escorted the Emir to Gusau.
In the recent video, the armed bandits encircled the kidnapped guys, who had pieces of fabric covering their eyes. Shamaki, one of the victims, begged the Emir to be kind and help free them.
He prayed to Allah for help and mercy, stating that more than 600 people needed help immediately so they could return to their families and keep feeding them.
He lamented, “We are calling on the Emir of Zamfara to have sympathy for us, in the name of Allah, and help our release. In the name of Allah, the Emir should have sympathy for us."
“We are just looking for what to eat and feed their families. Even if one has nothing, waking up with something to eat and feed his family is enough."
"I am your Shamaki, Alhaji Buhari. Please and please, Your Highness, help us, your people, who are in extreme need of your help. We are over 600 in the bush.”
