Niger State Government Announces N200,000 Bonus For Corps MembersThe governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has revealed that a bonus of N200,000 will be given to each of the Batch B, Stream 1 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who are deployed to serve in the state. This incentive is being provided to motivate the 1,600 corps members to stay and contribute their services within the state.

The governor made this announcement at the NYSC Batch B, Stream 1 orientation ceremony at the temporary camp in Paikoro on Tuesday.

He also added that any corps member who ventures into agriculture can earn N500,000 monthly and announced N5 billion for the start-up of the new NYSC camp.

The state government has authorized the construction of additional toilets and the drilling of five boreholes in the temporary camp. Additionally, a donation of 20 cows and one trailer load of rice has been allocated for the welfare of the Corps members in camp.

Furthermore, the governor has declared that corps members in the medical and health field will receive automatic employment, and has encouraged others to contribute to enhancing the agricultural sector in the state.
