Khadijat Omotayo, the Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Constituency Affairs, has urged Nigerians to stop criticizing the President for getting rid of the fuel subsidy, according to Punch Newspaper. On Saturday, during a town hall meeting in Jos, which is the capital of Plateau State, she made this appeal. The event was attended by a variety of stakeholders, including market women, youth groups, labor leaders, farmers, traditional rulers, government officials, and students. Omotayo stressed that the President is still dedicated to putting policies into action that will improve the quality of life for all Nigerians.

Omotayo spoke at the gathering and emphasized the advantages of removing the fuel subsidy. He explained that the money saved from this policy has been given to every state to help with development projects. She also mentioned that the President has raised the salaries of workers and has promised the people of Nigeria that he will continue to raise them during his time in office. She claims that the choice to eliminate the subsidy was made in the best interest of the country, guaranteeing that resources are distributed more efficiently to essential areas such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

Omotayo encouraged Nigerians to put their political differences aside and collaborate in order to support government policies that are intended to promote national development. She mentioned that the President's method of governing is inclusive. She also pointed out that she was in Plateau State, which is a stronghold of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in order to engage with citizens on behalf of the government. She repeated that Tinubu's administration is dedicated to bringing the country together and fulfilling the commitments made during the election campaign.

She stated, "I don't expect us to continue attacking Mr. President at this point, as he is making sure that the benefits of democracy are distributed to all states." "If Mr. President were a politician who only cared about his own party, he wouldn't have let me come to Plateau State, which is run by the PDP. However, I am here to speak on his behalf because he wants to include everyone. We all fought for victory during the election, but now that it is over, we need to work together and be united in order to govern.

Omotayo's comments come at a time when there are ongoing discussions about how the removal of the fuel subsidy will affect Nigerians. Many people are worried about the increase in the cost of living. On the other hand, she insisted that the government is doing what it needs to do to lessen the impact and make sure that the long-term advantages are greater than the initial challenges. She urged Nigerians to be patient and to support the reforms that are currently taking place, assuring them that Tinubu's administration is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all citizens.

She said, "I don't think we should keep attacking Mr. President at this point, since he wants the dividends of democracy to be distributed to the states. If Mr. President is a politician who is biased toward a particular party. He won't allow me to go to Plateau State because, as we all know, it is a PDP state. However, I am here to represent him simply because he wants to include everyone. We fought for it and won it during the election period. Following the election, we must ensure that all the good people of Nigeria are included.
