The Kileleshwa ward member of county assembly hon Robert Alai has requested to have an online meeting with the Gen Z and other anti finance bill protesters today at 7:00pm.According to his recent statement on X ,the MCA who allied to the opposition side under ODM party has requested to have a meeting with the above group of Kenyans so as to consolidate their gains and to make sure that their plight after the protests are fully addressed by the government.
However, he has given some conditions that will guide the meeting which include avoiding use of abusive words, avoiding confrontations of one another and shouts as well as conducting a meeting without any form of unfair judgement.
"Gen Z and fellow protesters, can we have a debrief space today devoid of 'jidinye' ,'f** you and all that? Can I host one from 7pm tonight? Just to consolidate the gains and ensure that the plight of the protesters are addressed fully.Can we have a platform without any unfair judgement? Can we speak to each other and not shout in an echo chamber with a tunnel vision? Retweet this if you believe we need a space for debrief",Alai wrote.
This comes just hour after yesterday's protests, Alai want the youths to unite and discuss the aftermaths of the demos, so that their effort does not go in vain.
