According to Metro, Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk has issued a caution to the club's fans regarding their expectations for him in the upcoming 2024-25 campaign.

The Blues secured Mudryk in an £88.5m deal from Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2023, but the 23-year-old has faced challenges since arriving at Stamford Bridge.

Struggling to find his footing, Mudryk failed to score a goal and provided only two assists across 15 Premier League games last season, marking a slow start to his tenure in west London.

Entering his first full season at Chelsea, Mudryk has managed seven goals and two assists in 40 appearances across all competitions in the current campaign.

With Mudryk under contract until 2031, Chelsea fans are eager to see him realize his potential and hope for improvement in the upcoming season.

Responding to a fan's inquiry on Instagram about his expectations for the next season, Mudryk provided a somewhat cautious response, stating, "Expectations are [what] kills our happiness."

Encouraged by the exchange, the fan expressed confidence in Mudryk's abilities and anticipated seeing an unleashed version of him next season.

When asked to name his favorite Chelsea player of all time, Mudryk selected Eden Hazard, acknowledging Hazard's remarkable contributions during his time at the club.

Mudryk recently found the net in Chelsea's 3-2 Premier League victory over Nottingham Forest.

Despite a recent upturn in form for Mauricio Pochettino's side, speculation continues regarding Pochettino's future as head coach, with Chelsea poised to conduct a review after their final game of the season.
