The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Committee in Rivers State, Mr. Tony Okocha, has labeled Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the political investment of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.

According to a report by Channels Television, Okocha emphasized that Fubara's rise to power was significantly due to Wike's strong support and influence.

He pointed out that without Wike's backing, Fubara would not have become governor.

Okocha noted that the ongoing disagreement between Governor Fubara and Wike is a result of Wike's significant political investment in Fubara.

He explained that Wike played a crucial role in Fubara's political journey, from being a civil servant to becoming the party's candidate, and ultimately securing victory in all 23 local government areas—a feat unprecedented in the state's history.

Wike's efforts were described as strategic and instrumental in establishing Fubara's governorship.

Wike's only demand, according to Okocha, was for Fubara to preserve the political structure that facilitated his rise to power.

However, Okocha expressed that dismantling this structure would leave a politician without a solid foundation to rely on, which is the crux of the issue between Fubara and Wike.
