According to a report from DAILY POST, Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has ordered security agencies to take swift action against the notorious "Sara Suka" cult group that has been terrorizing residents of the state capital.
Addressing the State Executive Council (SEC) on Friday, Governor Mohammed expressed grave concern over the escalating criminal activities of the Sara Suka gang, stating that his administration remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the harmony and peace of Bauchi and its citizens.
"We will not tolerate these criminals who seek to jeopardize the safety and well-being of our people," the governor declared. "I have directed our security agencies to pursue and track down the perpetrators of these crimes without mercy."
The Sara Suka cult, known for its violent initiation rituals and turf wars, has been wreaking havoc in Bauchi metropolis, particularly in student communities, creating an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty among residents.
Governor Mohammed issued a stern warning to the cult members, urging them to "cooperate before it is too late" and surrender willingly, as they will soon be "vanquished" by the authorities.
"The time for these criminal activities to thrive in Bauchi has come to an end," the governor stated.
"We are sending a strong message to all criminals operating in our state: shape up or ship out. Our administration is dedicated to enhancing the security architecture and restoring the peace and stability that Bauchi is known for."
