The Kenya Defence Forces momentarily stopped their patrol of the nation’s capital after one of their military trucks broke down.In a show of military preparedness, the truck was repaired in under 5 minutes by one of the soldiers who was in the convoy.

The military was patrolling the capital in a single file and once a truck broke down, the convoy would come to a halt until the vehicle was repaired.

As one vehicle broke down on Enterprise Road, soldiers quickly alighted from other military trucks and surrounded the truck for protection.

One of the soldiers quickly and accurately, like an army man, opened the car's hood to fix the engine.

The truck was fixed in five minutes, and the soldiers took off their camouflage as the trucks snaked towards Moi Avenue.

Here are some reactions:There had been another brief halt to the parade due to an earlier breakdown of an armoured personnel carrier, according to reports.

The deployment of KDF was ordered by Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale on Tuesday, March 25, and ratified by Parliament on Wednesday.

On Thursday, the High Court is anticipated to make a ruling about a petition submitted by the LSK, which aims to overturn the government's choice to send KDF soldiers to put an end to protests.

Soldiers from the Kenya Defence Forces were patrolling Nairobi's streets earlier on Thursday in case residents decided to demonstrate against President William Ruto's government. The patrol was largely peaceful as Kenyans waved to KDF soldiers on top of military trucks.
