A successful operation was conducted by the Tembisa South African Police Service (SAPS) in a concerted effort to curb unlawful activities within the community. The operation resulted in the arrest of two illegal immigrants and the closure of two illicit shebeens. This operation, Operation Shanela, was designed to target regions that were notorious for the illegal alcohol trade and the presence of undocumented residents.
Two individuals, aged 18 and 26, were apprehended during the operation conducted by the Tembisa SAPS. They were discovered to be residing in the country without the necessary documentation.
