Chidi Lloyd, Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area in Rivers State, has clarified that it is incorrect to refer to him or his colleagues as "former chairmen" during an interview with Arise TV. He stated that the governor's actions have exceeded his powers, and pending court cases make it inappropriate to use such terminology.

Lloyd emphasized that decisions affecting matters before the law court should not be taken, and using the term "former chairman" would be premature and disrespectful. He urged the people to wait for the decision of the court before proceeding on the next course of action.

According to him, "With due respect, the governor has acted ultra vires his powers, so when that happens, you don't take decisions or take decisions that will affect a matter that is before the law court. So it is not appropriate to refer to either me or any of my colleagues as former chairman."
