The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stay committed to fulfilling the promises he made to Nigerians during his campaign, amidst ongoing misinformation campaigns targeting his administration, particularly in northern regions.
Yerima Shettima, President of AYCF, revealed this information, previously reported by Sahara Reporters, cautioning Tinubu against falling victim to orchestrated attacks aimed at undermining his administration's credibility and setting unattainable standards.
Shettima emphasized that the attacks on Tinubu's associates are part of a broader scheme to destabilize his administration and hinder his reelection bid in 2027.
He stated, "In the face of the unfolding, the AYCF calls on President Tinubu and his team to remain vigilant and resolute in their commitment to the nation’s progress.
"We urge the President to be wary of the propaganda campaigns being orchestrated against his administration, and to stay focused on delivering on his promises to the Nigerian people."
The Arewa Youth Consultative Forum further implored Tinubu to prioritize Nigeria's growth, stressing the absurdity of prematurely evaluating an administration barely a year into office.
Additionally, Shettima encouraged Tinubu to remain resilient and focused amid challenges, working towards ensuring Nigeria's prosperity and security. He highlighted the importance of Tinubu's government acting in the nation's developmental interests.
