Obaseki: I counted 30 things I had done in his place, they could not point to one thing — Ighodalo

According to Vanguard, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a bold challenge to Governor Godwin Obaseki, urging him to walk the streets of Benin City with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Asue Ighodalo. APC asserts that such a test would expose Obaseki's disconnection from the people.

APC leaders are calling for unity within their ranks, urging members who are still displeased with the outcome of the governorship primaries to come together and support their candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo. The party emphasizes that only a united front can secure victory in the upcoming elections.

Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC governorship candidate, pledged to focus on progress and development for Edo State if elected. He criticized the current administration, claiming that they have failed the people of Edo. Okpebholo highlighted his own contributions to the local government area of the PDP candidate, noting that he had accomplished significantly more than his opponent.

On his part, Okpebholo said if elected, his administration “would not listen to gossip, we will be there to work for Edo people so that there will be progress in the state. We are ready to send them packing because they have failed us. I was in the local government of the PDP candidate and by the time I counted 30 things I had done in his place, they could not point to one thing that he had done for them.”
