Igbe expressed puzzlement over Wike’s unwillingness to reconcile with Fubara, wondering what grievance Fubara had committed that was so severe as to warrant Wike’s persistent refusal to make amends.
True leadership demands the capacity to forgive and move forward, prioritizing the well-being of the people of Rivers State, according to Igbe.
Igbe emphasized that resolving the crisis peacefully would usher in stability, enabling both parties to shift their focus from political disputes to effective governance.
Igbe’s advice to Wike is straightforward, he told him to swallow his pride and seek reconciliation, says it’s a far better option than pursuing a losing battle, which is only likely to end in further damage to his reputation and interests.
