Elder statesman, Edwin Clark has criticized former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, a prominent Peoples Democratic Party member, for his actions affecting the party.
In a recent report by Tribune, Clark questioned Wike's loyalty to the PDP, accusing him of orchestrating the defection of 27 Rivers lawmakers from the PDP to the APC. He accused Wike of using APC members to form PDP caretaker committees of the various LGAs in Rivers State, which undermines the party's integrity. He emphasized the need for Wike to choose between the PDP and the APC, rather than trying to navigate both sides
Chief Clark also called out the PDP acting National Chairman, Damagun, for failing to take action against the defections of the lawmakers and for allegedly colluding with Wike to work against the PDP.
