Former Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, along with his daughter Fatima, Jalal Hamma, and Al-Duraq Investment Ltd., are set to face charges brought forth by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The charges, consisting of six counts, are related to alleged office abuse totaling N2.7 billion. Sirika, who served under the previous administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, was arrested in Abuja following investigations into purported financial misconduct, including fraudulent contracts awarded during his tenure. He was detained after being questioned by EFCC investigators.

The amended allegations against Sirika and the others will be presented before Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Maitama. According to sources within the EFCC, the investigation into contract fraud under Sirika's leadership led to his detention after he was invited for questioning by the Commission's Abuja Zonal Command. The EFCC's actions underline its commitment to tackling corruption and ensuring accountability within government ministries and agencies.
