Amina was abducted along with two other housewives on the Takum-Katsina-Ala road in the Takum Local Government Area. While she managed to escape on Saturday night, the other two women, as well as the wife and daughter of General T.Y. Danjuma's brother, remain in captivity. Two family members who attempted to deliver ransom for their release were also taken by the kidnappers.

The kidnapping crisis in Taraba State continues to escalate, with residents of Takum facing constant threats from kidnappers operating along major roads. Despite the efforts of the police to track down the perpetrators, many victims remain in captivity, leaving families in a state of anxiety and fear.
