In a recent TVC News interview, attorney Kabir Akingbolu weighed in on the political tensions in Rivers State, calling for peaceful administration and cautioning against actions that could destabilize the state.

Akingbolu specifically addressed Governor Siminalayi Fubara's statement that his followers could act with impunity, labeling it an "invitation to chaos."

Akingbolu expressed surprise at the rift between Fubara and his former sponsor, Wike, given Wike's instrumental role in Fubara's ascent to governorship.

The attorney appealed to Wike to allow Fubara to complete his term, emphasizing that decisions regarding a potential second term should be made later.

Akingbolu stressed, "If you don't want to support him again, that should be another ball game. Let him finish this tenure." He urged all parties involved to prioritize peaceful administration and refrain from actions that could disrupt the state's stability.

In his own words, “If you do want to support him again for a second term, fine and good. Now that he's there as the governor, he has spent one year tumultuously. Let him finish this tenure. If you don't want to support him (Fubara) again, that should be another ball game."
