Segun Sowunmi Drops Bold Statement on Fubara, Claims His Fair-Weather Supporters May Betray Him
Segun Sowunmi has spoken out against certain individuals in Rivers State who previously criticized Governor Siminalayi Fubara but have since switched to praising him.
Segun Sowunmi called out individuals who initially deemed Governor Fubara too inexperienced due to his age and attempted to dissuade former Governor Wike from backing his candidacy, yet now sing his praises.
According to a video by Symfoni TV, Segun Sowunmi accused those who initially opposed Governor Fubara of now pretending to be instrumental in his ascension to power.
Segun Sowunmi cautioned that these fair-weather supporters may eventually betray Governor Fubara, given their history of flip-flopping allegiances.
Segun Sowunmi expressed his deep frustration, stating that he is bitterly disappointed by the current situation in Rivers, where the same individuals who previously opposed Governor Fubara, citing his youth and inexperience, are now supportive of him, after former Governor Wike had to overcome their resistance to install him.
He continued saying that it is galling to observe that the same individuals who now enthusiastically support Governor Fubara, having previously opposed him, may potentially revert to criticizing him in the future, should circumstances permit.
