Speaking exclusively to Soccernet, Bosso clarified that the reports of his appointment as U-23 head coach are unfounded. “[The Nigeria] U-23 job is propaganda. The Bayelsa United job is confirmed. I am waiting for the unveiling,” Bosso said.
Bosso’s denial comes amid speculation in the Nigerian media that he was set to take the reins of the Olympic Eagles. However, the former Abia Warriors manager has put the rumors to rest, focusing on his new role at Bayelsa United.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is currently searching for new head coaches for the U-20, U-23, and senior national teams, all of which are currently without a head coach.
