German youngster wants to prove his worth to Barcelona coach

FC Barcelona's tradition of nurturing young talent is well-known, and now, due to financial constraints, they're forced to rely on their youth academy more than ever. Coach Xavi Hernandez has openly discussed the club's financial limitations, and as a result, they're turning to their youngsters to build a strong squad.

One such player is 17-year-old midfielder Noah Darvich, who's eager to impress new coach Hansi Flick. Darvich, a former Freiburg player, knows he has a chance to break into the first team, and Flick is keeping a close eye on him. The young German midfielder has already shown his potential, leading Germany to victory in the Under-17 FIFA World Cup.

With Barcelona relying on their subsidiary players for pre-season, promoting Darvich to the first team makes sense. Flick's assistant, Heiko Westermann, who has worked with German youth teams, knows Darvich well and can help the coach get the best out of him.

After a challenging start to life in Catalonia, Darvich has settled in and grown, both in terms of language and playing style. He's now focused on finding his place in Flick's new-look first team. With Barcelona's financial constraints, their youth policy is not just a strength but a necessity, and players like Darvich are ready to seize their chance.
