The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Ibrahim Shettima has reacted after he represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a groundbreaking ceremony in Kaduna state on Friday.
Senator Kashim Ibrahim Shettima, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress is a former Governor of Borno state.

Kashim Ibrahim Shettima stated on his verified Facebook page on Friday; "Representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday, I laid the foundation for the official launch of the Resettlement Scheme for Persons Impacted by Conflict (RSPIC) to address the humanitarian crisis caused by internal displacements across Nigeria."
He added; "The groundbreaking ceremony of the pilot phase of the project held in Tudun Biri, Kaduna State. Kaduna State has offered us a launchpad to venture into the communities dislodged by conflict. For so long, we have been held hostage by the fear of ourselves and allowed preventable incidents to escalate into transgenerational disputes."

The former Governor of Borno state stated further; "The project marks a shift in our Government's approach to internal displacement and conflict resolution and a commitment of President Tinubu to not just temporary relief but long-term rehabilitation and reintegration of affected communities."
