Manchester United have been out of the rumour mills for a few weeks while they tried to sort out their managerial and directorial issues off field. However, that issue is drawing to a close after they agreed to keep Dutch manager Erik Ten Hag. The Club has also decided to add United legend, Ruud Van Nistelroy as one of the backroom staff which will be supporting Ten Hag on the sidelines.

With that out of the way, the club is now ready to plunge back into the world of transfers.

Here are the big names the club has been linked with today.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, United are heavily interested in signing Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna. The 23-year-old striker is of great interest to the Red Devils who seek to bolster their attack. Ac Milan are also said to be interested.

Matthijs De Ligt has also been linked with the Manchester team this morning. The Evening standard reported that the Bayern defender is seen as a realistic target compared to other high profile names such as Leny Yoro and Jarrad Braithwathe. Talks with Everton for Braithwathe are said to have stalled due to a gap in valuation.

Another name in the rumour mill for United is Manuel Ugarte. The Uruguayan international is on the list of targets for Ten Hag's side and is believed to be interested in a move to England even without Champions League football.

Manuel joined Paris Saint Germain last year for £50 million from Sporting after Chelsea chased him relentlessly. The midfielder's stint at PSG has been anything but successful and he iss now seeking a way out of Paris.

United might also need to sign a winger this summer with reports coming out of England suggesting that Marcus Rashford's position at the club is uncertain The English forward missed out on a spot at the Euros and PSG are said to be lurking around in case he decides to leave United. They were looking to sign Olise but he has since moved to join Bayern Munich.
