In a report recently shared by Punch, Clark mentioned that Amaechi assured him he was not a cultist, contrary to rumors. Amaechi told Clark that he was a baptized and confirmed Catholic and even asked Clark to be his godfather.

Clark said he used to visit Amaechi frequently, but their relationship became strained when Amaechi had issues with former President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Patience Jonathan. Clark emphasized that Amaechi apologized for the insult given by their brother (Omehia) and clarified that he was not a cultist but a devout Catholic. During an interview with The Punch, he remarked, "So, the governor (Amaechi) said he had come to me to apologise for the insult their brother (Omehia) gave me. Number two; he came to tell me that he learnt they sent a paper to late President (Umaru) Yar’Adua that he was a cultist, and that he had come to tell me that he was not a cultist and that he was a baptised and confirmed Catholic"
