Expressing their dismay, they pointed out that Governor Fubara, their fellow kinsman, appeared to have disregarded their plight and failed to address the dire situation that has left his people in a state of destitution. Additionally, Fenibo lamented that despite the support extended to the governor during his election, he had not visited or communicated with the affected communities since assuming office.

"The people of Opobo kingdom are disappointed in Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who has left us to suffer and live destitute in the face of the serious havoc that the damaging rainstorm wrecked in our communities," Fenibo expressed.( Photo credit : The Punch Newspaper Verified Facebook Page )

Moreover, the statement underscored their astonishment and disillusionment at the governor's lack of engagement and assistance during a period of hardship for his constituents. The failure of Governor Fubara to show up or extend support following the catastrophic event deeply troubled the community members who had steadfastly supported him.

"We therefore feel disappointed that His Excellency the governor has abandoned his people and kinsmen," the statement concluded.
