Iyobosa Uwagiaren, an Editor at Nation's Capital Newspaper, emphasized the importance of Nyesom Wike, the former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), maintaining a cautious approach with his successor, Siminalayi Fubara.

Uwagiaren suggested that Wike could risk losing political relevance if it appears that he lacks control over the political structure in Rivers State, as reported by AIT.

Additionally, he noted that Fubara, the incumbent Governor, has made efforts to sustain a positive relationship with Wike, even going as far as excluding him from attending meetings of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors' Forum.

Iyobosa Uwagiaren had said, "The reason why he is popular in Abuja here, or the reason why he was appinted as the FCT Minister by the current President in a different political party is because he has a base in Rivers State.

And once you begin to give impression that you are no longer in charge of your political structure in Rivers State, you will now begin to lose relevance in, in FCT Minister.

So, for me, that was unnecessary, it was a miscalculation on his own path. And going by what we are hearing, it appears that the Governor of Rivers State has been struggling to maintain his relationship with Wike.

You, you are aware that that was the first time of attending the PDP Governors Forum, and we are told that he has been banned by Wike not to attend such a meeting."

During an interview on Kakaaki, an AIT Television program, Uwagiaren disclosed that Wike allegedly appointed a Chief Security Officer for Fubara, the incumbent Governor.

He questioned the motive behind Wike's actions, especially considering Fubara's efforts to uphold their relationship.
