I doubt if Wike respects even the president that he claims to be serving–Ikechumwu Amaechi

Publisher of Niche Newspaper Ikechukwu Amaechi held President Tinubu responsible for the conduct of Wike, an appointed minister in Tinubu's administration, in an open interview that aired on News Central TV. He cast doubt on Wike's regard for the president and implied that the governor's actions would bring disrepute upon the administration.

He said President Tinubu should rein in Wike to save the administration's reputation from further damage, arguing that Wike's behavior reflects poorly on the president. Not doing so, he said, would be the same as giving President Tinubu the green light to do as he pleased with Wike's actions.

This was Ikechukwu Amaechi's response to the animosity between Nyesom Wike and Ireti Kingibe. He said that the president should be responsible for the actions of his ministerial appointee because the president is ultimately responsible for their appointments.

It is questionable whether Wike even honors Tinubu, the president he professes to be serving. A politician like Wike does things like this knowing full well that they cast disrepute onto the administration they claim to support. And if President Bola Ahmed Tinubu doesn't rein him in, Wike will keep going in this direction, which is bad for the presidency.
