Recent Facebook video content from Pastor David Ibiyeomie recounts an extraordinary anecdote from his ministry's infancy. At one point, he recalled, his church's offices in Port Harcourt were the site of fierce hostility from nearby residents.
Pastor Ibiyeomie and his congregation resorted to prayer without fully comprehending the scope of the opposition's operations, which encompassed both citizens and military officers. "When we came together to pray, they transferred the military officer to Kwara State," said he. Those who had plotted against the church were miraculously relocated within a week.
"Our neighbours in the headquarters ganged up against us at the beginning of our ministry," he claims. According to them, this church need to vacate the premises. House to house, they would sign. In Port Harcourt, they brought the issue to the attention of the governor at the time. The governor, however, rejected their suggestion. He assured them that they ought to be grateful for the site's suitability for a church of this kind.
What was going on? I had no idea. They banded together, military officers and civilians alike. However, it was just a portion of them. They transferred the military commander to Kwara state just as we gathered to pray. All of those individuals who conspired against us were relocated to a different site within a week. Even though there were obstacles, God ultimately helped us.
