Bay Football Club won their National Women's Soccer League (NWSC) match against Louisville Football Club 1-0, with a goal from Asisat Oshoala being the lone scorer. The Super Falcons of Nigeria striker, who had previously played for the Barcelona Women's Team and is now a member of the United States national team, was a major factor in the game and created history when she converted a penalty kick in the second half after a foul in the 18-yard box.
Bay Football Club's official Facebook page announced that Asisat Oshoala had scored the club's first penalty kick goal. Since its establishment on April 4, 2023, the club has never been granted a penalty kick.
The striker for the Super Falcons has now scored three goals in fourteen NWSL outings, including this record goal.
