On 2nd December, 2023 the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara attended the Burial Ceremony of the Amanyanabo of Koniju Town, Late King Nelson Atubo Oputibeya XI at Koniju Community in Okirika, Rivers State, Nigeria.
According to a post made by the Government House Media - Rivers State Via their Facebook account, Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara along with the Chairman of the Koniju Town Council of Chiefs, Chief Adokiye Amiesimaka, and other senior staff of the Rivers State Government attend the Burial Ceremony of the Amanyanabo of Koniju Town, Late King Nelson Atubo Oputibeya XI at Koniju Community in Okirika, Rivers State.
During his speech, the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara commended the good people of Wakrike Kingdom especially the traditional rulers for their unwavering support to his administration. He also them that the process of the formal gazetting of the Koniju traditional stool for proper recognition will be made public next week.
