In a video posted on Channels TV, the Minority Leader of the House of Reps, Ogundu Chinda emphasized the importance of justice as a prerequisite for achieving sincere peace, arguing that no sacrifice is too great in the pursuit of peace.

He advocated for governance based on the rule of law and order, rather than discretion or impunity, and expressed support for Rivers State's compliance with these principles.

He commended the efforts of the Nigeria Police, the Inspector General, and the President in maintaining peace in Rivers State, despite instances of provocation that could have led to a breakdown of law and order.

Ogundu Chinda said this while leading solidarity support for Nyesom Wike in Rivers State.

He said, "Like the governor said, there is no sacrifice that is too much for peace. However, if you want sincere peace, you must be ready to do justice. There can be no peace without justice, that sacrifice is to do justice and govern by the rule of law. Therefore we are in support of governance by law, not by discretion, not by impunity. Rivers State is a state that must comply with law and order.

We are in support of the position of the Nigeria police. The Inspector General under the leadership of the commander-in-chief, the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has bring peace to Rivers State, even when there are provocative actions that could lead to break down of law and order."
