According to report by Times of Israel, Hezbollah launched a barrage of approximately 20 rockets targeting the Lower Galilee region in northern Israel, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The assault comes just a day after a prominent Hezbollah member was killed in an Israeli drone strike in northeastern Lebanon.

"According to the IDF, some 20 rockets were launched in the Hezbollah barrage at the Lower Galilee this morning," reported Emanuel Fabian.

The IDF confirmed that several of the rockets were intercepted by air defenses, while one direct hit near the community of Kfar Zeitim seriously wounded a man. The attack also sparked fires in the area.

Earlier today, the IDF reported that a suspected drone was shot down by air defenses over the border community of Ramot Naftali. Sirens had sounded in the community around 5:30 a.m. due to fears of falling shrapnel, but there were no injuries in that incident.

The IDF has released footage of the interception, underscoring the severity of the situation and the ongoing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border.

Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for the rocket barrage, stating that it targeted an Israeli military base near the city of Tiberias. The terror group has vowed to retaliate for the death of its senior operative, Meitham Mustafa Altaar, who was eliminated in an Israeli airstrike on Saturday.
