According to Daily Post, Anyim Vera, a member of Dunamis International Gospel Center (DIGC) who gained widespread attention after her testimony was questioned for inaccuracies, has been arrested by the police.
Vera was reportedly taken into custody by the Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday for a breach of protocol.
Her story went viral when the Senior Pastor of the church, Dr. Paul Enenche, interrupted her testimony at the Church Headquarters, expressing doubt about her claims due to her use of incorrect English despite claiming to be a law graduate.
Vera stated that she obtained a BSc in law from the National Open University of Nigeria, prompting Pastor Enenche to ask her to return to her seat, declaring her testimony false. However, he later apologized, clarifying that he did not intend to publicly embarrass her.
Following the incident, Vera sought financial assistance from Nigerians to secure better housing, citing safety concerns and the need for a more suitable living environment given her status.
