A video has surfaced of former President Olusegun Obasanjo wearing a cap branded with President Bola Tinubu’s insignia.

He wore the ‘Tinubu cap’ at an event attended by some African dignitaries.

Obasanjo and Tinubu are well known to belong to different political affiliations despite coming from the same Southwest geopolitical zone.

During the 2023 presidential election, the former president was well disposed towards the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Edo Pays June Salaries, Pensions Ahead Of Sallah

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has paid June salaries and pensions of workers and pensioners in Edo State, ahead of the Sallah celebration.

This is in fulfilment of his promise to the workers on Wednesday, during the inauguration of the Edo State Secretariat Complex, in Benin City.

In a statement on Friday, the state Commissioner for Communications and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare, said, “The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has paid June salary of workers and pensions in.

“This is in line with the government’s long-standing practice of meeting its salary obligations before the 26th of every month and to enable our Muslim brothers and sisters to have a good Sallah celebration.”

19 injured as BRT bus, Danfo, truck collide in Lagos

No fewer than 19 passengers sustained injuries in multiple auto crashes involving a Bus Rapid Transit, BRT, a commercial yellow bus (Danfo), and a truck at Ketu, inward Ojota area of Lagos State on Friday.

Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, team from the Command and Control Centre, arrived the scene — under the Ojota inter-change bridge — at about 12 noon amid heavy rainfall.

The vehicles were a BRT bus with number plates EXY-167XY, an articulated truck carrying a 40-foot container, and an 18-seater commercial bus, with number plates JJJ-439YG.

Cybercrime, terrorism: Tinubu, FBI Director meet in Abuja

President Bola Tinubu on Friday called for stronger collaboration between Nigeria’s law enforcement agencies and the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the fight against cybercrime, terrorism, and other related crimes.

The FBI is the domestic intelligence and security service of the United States of America, and its principal federal law enforcement agency.

The President spoke during a meeting with FBI Director, Christopher Asher Wray, at the State House in Abuja.

President Tinubu described the presence of the FBI Director alongside his team in Nigeria as a recognition of the enduring partnership between Nigeria and the United States in the fight against financial crimes and terrorism.
