Chelsea Agrees To Sell Attacking Midfielder
Chelsea have agreed to sell their young attacking midfielder, Omari Hutchinson, to newly promoted EPL team Ipswich Town, according to Fabrizio Romano. The deal is worth £22 million, and the player will undergo medical tests this weekend.
The Stamford Bridge club will also not have a buy-back clause, but the agreement includes a sell-on clause for his possible sale in the future. Kieran McKenna's stay at Ipswich Town is reportedly crucial to the player's return to the club after a season-long loan.
Hutchinson, who started his youth career at Chelsea, made 44 appearances for Ipswich Town in the Championship last season, scored 10 goals and recorded 5 assists. He also appeared four times for The Tractor Boys in the EFL and scored one goal.
The player's move appears to be a good decision, as Chelsea's current squad is loaded with attacking midfielders who might place him in tough competition for game time.
