Lookman was the winner, beating out Burkinabe defender Edmund Tapsoba and fellow countryman Victor Osimhen.

While playing for Nigeria in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the 26-year-old stood out.

Three goals were scored by the ex-RB Leipzig player in seven games played by the Super Eagles in Côte d'Ivoire.

During his time at Atalanta, Lookman was instrumental in the club's success in domestic and European tournaments.

In La Dea's UEFA Europa League final victory over Bayer Leverkusen, the nimble winger stunned with three goals.

Last season, while playing for Gian Piero Gasperini's squad, the player tallied 17 goals and 10 assists.

He was named Atalanta's Player of the Season for the second year in a row. Premier League European clubs such as Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United were captivated by his remarkable performance.

Lookman has been an inspiration to his nation and all of Africa.
