In the team compiled by Transfermarkt, some prominent performers this season were present.

This prompted Inter Milan to replace him with Yann Sommer who has been phenomenal ever since. The former Bayern Munich shotstopper has kept 23 clean sheets in 40 games, according to Transfermarkt. Therefore, in the XI, he features between the sticks.
Alex Grimaldo of Bayer Leverkusen features in the left back position after helping his team win the Bundesliga title in his debut season. Manchester City star, Josko Gvardiol and Tottenham Hotspur center back, Van de Ven feature at the centre of defense while former Bayern Munich fullback, Benjamin Pavard features in the rightback position after a positive debut season with Inter Milan.
In the midfield areas, Granit Xhaka makes the team after an impressive debut season that has seen him lead Bayer Leverkusen to German Bundesliga glory. He is joined by Jude Bellingham, who has been phenomenal ever since his blockbuster move from Borussia Dortmund, and Declan Rice, whose solid performance at the base of Arsenal's midfield has earned him plenty of praise this season.
