According to the Daily post news, Burna Boy, a renowned Nigerian musician and Grammy award winner, has publicly refuted the implication made by Logos Olori, an artist signed to Davido's label, that he relies on songwriters to create his music, asserting that he is the sole author of his songs.

Logos Olori, a signee of Davido's record label, revealed in a recent radio interview on City 105 FM that numerous prominent artists, including his boss Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy, and others, rely on songwriters to craft their songs, sparking a debate about authenticity in the music industry.

Logos Olori explained that people who criticize artists for using songwriters are often misinformed about the music industry, and that while artists typically write their own songs when starting out, the demands of fame and a hectic touring schedule can necessitate the use of songwriters to meet the high demand for new music.

Logos Olori pointed out that even renowned artists like Chris Brown and the late Michael Jackson have used songwriters, and similarly, busy artists like Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid, who are often juggling tours and other business ventures, rely on songwriters to co-write their songs, even if they don't publicly disclose it, and the credits on music platforms like Spotify reveal the truth.

Burna Boy responded on social media platform X, asserting that he does not rely on songwriters to create his music, and clarifying that the individuals credited as songwriters on his songs are actually producers, a distinction made necessary by the conventions of the Western music industry.

Burna Boy explained that the individuals credited on his songs are either producers or featured artists, not songwriters, and that the Western music industry's practice of listing producers as writers is responsible for the confusion, emphasizing that no one can write songs for him, referencing his nickname "Odogwu" to assert his creative control.

Burna Boy's current assertion that he does not use songwriters contradicts his previous public admission that Peruzzi, a signee of Davido's, had written a song for him, which he had acknowledged at the time as the only instance of him using a songwriter's services.
