It was a rough and dramatic day for those present at Milimani law courts after youths arrested over Anti-finance Bill protests fainted while others chanted anti-Ruto slogans.

According to information shared, 185 youths were presented today at Milimani law courts for arraignment. They were presented before Senior Principal Magistrate Wandia Nyamu who read charges against them, including assault of security agents, , theft and damage of property. The police sought more 21 days to complete investigations. Unfortunately, three teenagers collapsed.

Principal Magistrate Nyamu ordered police officers to administer first aid and give them milk. Lawyers, the teenager's parents, relatives and well-wishers were forced to conduct an impromptu fundraiser and they bought loaves of bread for them. They then claimed that they haven't eaten anything since their arrest. "We are dying. We haven't eaten anything since we were arrested. We are going to die in this court," one of them Said, and others backed him saying "We are equally angry. We haven't eaten anything. Allow us to go home."

As if this was not enough, several youths began shouting "Ruto must go. Life is hard for us. We are jobless. Give us jobs."

The magistrate was forced to release the three teenagers who collapsed on free bond.
