According to reports, Arsenal is likely to complete the deal of promising teenager Mika Biereth.

The Danish striker has been the subject of considerable transfer rumors in recent weeks, following a breakout season last year. After starting the season on loan at Motherwell, where he scored six goals and assisted five in 15 games, he joined Conference League side Sturm Graz for the second half of the season.

Biereth's strong form continued in Austria, where he scored nine goals and assisted four times in 22 games. The 21-year-old dazzled in Europe, scoring three goals in four games, while also playing an important role locally.

Last season, Graz won the Austrian double, breaking RB Salzburg's decade-long grip on the Bundesliga, and Biereth played a key role in this incredible feat. As a result, Graz was keen to keep the young star around indefinitely.

According to the Evening Standard, their efforts are about to be rewarded. According to reports, the Austrian club has reached a deal with Arsenal for a fee of £4 million (€4.7 million).

It is a club record sum for the Austrian champions, but Biereth's achievements last season indicate that the money will be well spent. The 21-year-old leaves Arsenal without making a single first-team appearance.

Biereth must still agree on personal terms and undergo a medical with Graz before the contract can be formally revealed.
