"We have some people here who walk around everyday and their work is insulting. They insult on the left and right trying to cause a disunity among the executive. These people people are arrogant and proud, and speak how they want as they insult their own leader..." These were the words of the Embakasi central member of parliament Hon Mejja Donk during a socio-political event on Saturday which was graced by the deputy president Hon Rigathi Gachagua.
According to Donk, a group of cabinet secretaries were on a spree against the deputy president with a mission to cause disunity in the government. He cited greed for the second office as one of the key reasons for the mayhem going on between Hon Gachagua and the sect of cabinet secretaries.
"If you need the position of a deputy president, wait for 2027. The election period is not far. Wait for 2027, then look for a partner whom you will deputize and get to the ballot. Hiyo kiti haiko vacant, iko na mwenyewe." the Embakasi legislator stated.
He also exclaimed how shameful it was for an executive arm, the topmost structure of the nation to be disunited. Referring to Gachagua as the assistant boss in the executive, Mejja called on the cabinet ministers to work together for the best of the country.
"That is the highest arm of the government, yet you find some people speaking evil against someone who is their boss in the arm." the MP stated as he called the cabinet secretaries to order.
