Betting Tiff Cause Of Lagos Market Clash – Eyewitness

The clash that erupted at the Oke Odo Market in Lagos State was triggered by the alleged refusal of a betting agent to pay out winnings to a gambler.
PUNCH Online gathered that a fight started in the market situated in the area on Wednesday night and continued till Thursday morning.
The hoodlums residing in the shanties beside the market were said to have wielded weapons during the clash with the traders.

Tactical team of Kwara State police command has arrested three suspected cultists over the killing of the leader of another cult group, while manhunt has been launched to arrest other fleeing suspects involved in the inter cult attacks.
Spokesperson of the command DSP Ejire Adetoun Adeyemi who disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Ilorin yesterday identified the suspects in police net as Sulaiman Ismail Mamud Ibrahim and Mudashir Saheed.
The statement noted that ,”On April 30, 2024 at about 01:30hours, an altercation erupted between two suspected cultists identified as Adams Isah, also known as “Number One,” aged 28, and Rasaq Olorunwa, aged 28.
Osun Ex-Commissioner Tackles Aregbesola Over Alleged Anti-Party Activities

The former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Osun state, Prince Adebayo Adeleke has tackled the erstwhile minister of interior, Rauf Aregbesola, over alleged anti-party activities.
The Nation recalled that Aregbesola had been at the loggerheads with Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.
The crisis allegedly caused Oyetola his reelection as Osun governor in 2022.
NSCDC Arrest Fake Doctor Over Pregnant Woman’s Demise In Osun

The Osun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, on Thursday nabbed a fake doctor after delivering a pregnant woman of baby which led to her death.
The fake doctor, Oladiti Saheed, 32, was said to have possessed a secondary school certificate with which he operate a clinic, Oloruntoyin Clinic in Ororuwa town, Boripe local government area of the state for over six years.
According to the spokesperson of NSCDC in Osun, Kehinde Adeleke, the suspect was also training some youths under him after charging them N5000.
